The Lucerne Bridge spans the old stew ponds, which were developed into boating lakes. Inside are paintings by Mary Hemsworth depicting scenes from The Ancient Mariner, inspired by the ones in the 200 metre long 14th century Chapel Bridge in Lucerne.
