The belvedere was designed by John Rawsthrone for W. Hewett in about 1800. Rawsthrone was a pupil of Wyatt and the design was part of a London's Royal Academy exhibition.
Originally it was part of Bilham Park and is now the oldest building on the Brodsworth Estate.
