Wallace Monument
The Wallace Monument commemorates Sir William Wallace defeating the English in 1297. The 220 feet high tower is said to be in the centre of Scotland. it was designed by John Thomas Rochead and was built between 1859-69. Inside is a 15 feet high statue of Wallace by D.W.Stephenson.
